If you're shy when you're naked, what can you do to reduce your shyness?
After all, there are times when you're going to be naked in front of other people. Maybe in the changing rooms. Or, more importantly, when you're looking forward to an intimate time with your loved one.
Here are a few tips to help reduce or even overcome your shyness when you're as naked as the day you were born.
1. Practice being naked in private
Sometimes our worries about being nude can be because we're not used to it. If the only time you're normally naked is when you're in the bath or shower (and even then you get the urge to cover yourself up) then maybe it's time to practice. Lock the bedroom door, close the blinds or curtains and unashamedly take off all your clothes. If only for a few minutes. Get used to how the air feels on your skin. Get used to seeing your own flesh without the luxury of clothes.
2. Don't be embarrassed
OK, this one's easier said than done. But often our shyness when we're naked is because we're embarrassed. Don't worry what other people are thinking - chances are most of them are at least a little bit worried about what you're thinking about them. Spare your own blushes - think of something else, distract yourself, whatever it takes to keep your mind away from being bashful when you're naked around other people
3. Ignore your "shape"
Again, maybe not too easy to start with but this does get easier with practice. Start by noticing how many other people look worse naked than you do. This will help distract your mind and it will also make the point to your mind that - with the possible exception of a few supermodels - we're all less than perfect. Whether we're wearing clothes or not.
